Mindful cocktail recipes for a more balanced Christmas

Sometimes when we approach health, weight loss or getting fit we automatically associate that with deprivation - banning ourselves from things entirely or feeling guilty if we want something from the list of foods we have labelled as 'bad.'

I believe that an overall healthy lifestyle, balance throughout the year and learning how to tune into our intuition is key - but what is mindful drinking? It is a mindset. It is asking yourself questions before you drink, for example - 'is drinking this drink really what I want in this moment' or 'am I having it for other reasons - loneliness, to give me confidence, to help me have fun'. Being mindful also means not judging yourself for the answer to these questions.

Mindful drinking brings a sense of awareness to how you drink and it can lead to a healthier, more balanced relationship with alcohol that is grounded in how you feel in the moment.

So, with this in mind, we have two special recipes from our resident mixologist for you to try this Christmas - you're going to love these!

30 ml white rum

15 ml lime

15 ml agave syrup
